Saadia and Naomi Azami

My grandpa and grandma immigrated to Israel from Yemen in 1950. At the airport, the baby was almost taken away from them: a nurse came up to them and demanded to have the baby. Grandpa and grandma had already heard stories of what happened to others so they refused. The nurse threatened them that if they do not give the baby they will not receive food stamps. They still refused. They tell that from that moment on they decided that one of them must always keep their eyes on the baby.
