Dalia was born in 1953 at Meir Hospital. A few months after her birth, when we were at the Pardesiya immigrant camp, we are told that she has to be hospitalized because she had vomiting and diarrhea. We hadn’t noticed anything like that, but we complied with the request. After she was hospitalized, we were informed that she had died. A funeral was held in our presence, or at least that’s what we were told was happening, but because we are blind and visually impaired we could never verify it... In retrospect, there was no grace and no information at all about the girl at the Ministry of Interior.
