Later, Vechtel did a DNA test that ruled out the connection to the Rada family. Vechtel has tried to locate his biological family for many years, and according to the records it's been claimed that he is a member of a family from the Bucharim neighborhood. However, Vechtel was unable to locate a family according to the details given to him. Although the DNA test ruled out the connection with the Rada family, until this day Vechtel is still unsure of the reliability of the test and the documentation emerging from the adoption documents. The two families chose to maintain a close relationship, and they consider each other family members.
